6 Benefits of Noni & Iridoids

There are literally several hundred studies on iridoids and noni, with scrutiny on these remarkable compounds intensifying as scientists reveal more of their wide-ranging benefits. The results of a study comparing iridoid counts in noni fruit across the world showed that noni from French Polynesia contained the highest iridoid levels with noni from the Dominican Republic containing the lowest.1

The research thus far suggests that iridoids possess numerous health-promoting properties that are similar to those validated in noni:

Support the immune system.
Today’s world is full of threats that compromise our immune function. Numerous studies show that noni and iridoids support the immune system through various actions.*2
Protect against free radicals.
Reduction in free radical damage, or oxidation, is a significant contributor to maintaining a healthy body. Numerous studies demonstrate that antioxidant nutrients can slow the activity of free radicals and maintain health. Noni and iridoids are antioxidants that protect against oxidative damage caused by free radicals.*3
Protect DNA.
Damaged DNA is the result of aging, free radical damage and other metabolic processes. Noni and iridoids help to protect DNA and preserve its health.*4
Promote joint health.
Clinical research suggests that noni helps support healthy joints and joint function.*
Increase energy & endurance.
Loss of energy, vitality and endurance are a common result of today’s modern lifestyle. Poor nutrition, stress, toxins and lack of exercise all contribute to this all-too-common imbalance. Fortunately, noni and iridoids can help improve overall energy levels.*5
Promote healthy cardiovascular system.
Heart and vascular problems are among today’s top health conditions. Poor diet, exposure to toxins, insufficient exercise and high stress levels are contributing factors. Clinical and other findings show that noni and iridoids can help protect the heart, maintain already healthy cholesterol levels already within normal ranges, and promote overall cardiovascular function.*6

The bioactivity of noni and iridoids parallel each other to indicate that the benefits of noni are likely due to the properties of its iridoid content.7, 8
