Clinical Research Area #6

Product safety is a primary concern for most of today’s consumers. Morinda Bioactives boasts an impressive profile of safety studies, resulting in various approvals demonstrating that Thrive Adaptogenics supplements are safe to consume.

In a human clinical study, 96 healthy volunteers drank Thrive Adaptogenics Original for 28 days in three different quantities: 30 mL, 300 mL, or 750 mL. None of the groups experienced toxicity or any adverse effects.1

The noni fruit has also been through official safety evaluations within the European Union and found to be acceptable for human consumption. Data from many oral toxicity, allergenicity, genotoxicity, and chemical tests have revealed no potential health risks from drinking noni fruit juice.

  • In 2002, a rigorous review of the safety of Thrive Adaptogenics Original was concluded by the Scientific Committee on Food of the European Union.2
  • In 2006, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) panel again proved that consumption of noni juice is safe.3
  • In 2008, EFSA reviewed the safety of the noni leaves for use in infusions. The panel concluded that the use of dried and roasted M. citrifolia leaves for the preparation of infusions at the anticipated levels of intake is safe.4
  • In 2009, the EFSA panel evaluated the safety of Morinda citrifolia (Noni) fruit puree and concentrate and concluded that under the specified conditions it is considered safe for the general population.5
